Furman Learning for You

Furman University’s Learning for You registration is underway with many new classes including Conversational Spanish, Civil War Christmas, Country Two-Step, Fall Gardening Essentials, Piano Playing Instantly, Beginning Sculpture,  Print Making, and Buddhist Meditation.

Trips on the horizon include Arts and Carafes of North Carolina; A Walker’s New York; Christmas Market River Cruise of Germany and Alsace; and Exploring Nature and Creole Culture on Martinique and St. Lucia.  On-line registration is now available. TRABA Announces Citizen of the Year Speaker

J. Wayne Landrith is the Vice President for the Crusader Club and Corporate and Foundation Giving at North Greenville University. The Crusader Club is the fund-raising arm of the NGU Athletic program.

Among the many positions Landrith has served in during his 24 year career in higher education are Senior Vice President for the South Carolina Student Loan Corporation, Executive Vice President for the South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities, Inc., Vice President at Newberry College, Dean of Enrollment at Columbia College, Deputy Director of the South Carolina Higher Education Tuition Grants Commission, and Associate Director of Financial Aid at Anderson University.

Wayne earned a master’s degree in higher education administration from the University of South Carolina, a bachelor’s degree in management from Clemson University, and an associate’s degree from Anderson University.  He is also a graduate of the South Carolina Executive Institute sponsored by the State Budget and Control Board and has additional graduate work in Human Resources Development from Clemson.
