Spotlight Business of the Month- July '09

I want to thank everyone for such a warm welcome into the Travelers Rest Business Association. I am so excited to be a part of an organization that supports the community and encourages new and older businesses to grow and prosper. I have recently accepted a sponsorship from Aflac to become an agent and could not have asked for a better company to represent. I find it very easy to talk to people about Aflac and what they can do to help them when they need it the most.

I lost my mother to Cancer and I’m sure that most everyone has been affected either directly or indirectly by Cancer. It is the most financially devastating disease there is and  Aflac offers the best cancer policy I have ever seen. I have seen it help a friend so she could concentrate on getting better instead of how she was going to pay her mortgage payment, or travel to receive the treatments she needed. Though sadly I had to watch another friend lose her breast, her husband lose his job from taking off work to be with her and then they lost their home because they couldn’t make the payments. So yes I believe in having Aflac and really don’t understand any hesitation to bring it into your business to take care of your employees.  I believe if you take care of your employee’s they will take care of you and your business. I hope I get the chance to tell you about Aflac, everyone knows the duck but few know exactly what we can do for you and your business.

North Greenville Food Crisis Ministry

North Greenville Food Crisis Ministry
were established in 1983 with a small federal grant distributed  by United Ministries.  Since that time we have helped thousands of families and individuals in Northern Greenville County with groceries, clothing and crisis fund to assist with utilities, rent and medications.

We are completely supported by churches, business and individuals in our service area and do not receive any government funding. . We take donations of food, money to purchase food and pay bills, and clothing to distribute . We also accept any other items that we can sale at our twice  yearly book/rummage sale. Last year we held our 1st Annual Tournament of H.O.P.E (Help Our People Eat) golf event.  We have over 100 volunteers who are critical to the running of our ministry.
